Syllabus Refer to your syllabus for the course description and policies on grading, make-up work, extra credit, or other important information. You should keep the copy of it for reference.
Grading Per district policy, grades are assigned as follows. A 90-100 B 80-89 C 70-79 D 60-69 F 59 and below
I encourage you to check Gradeline frequently for the most current grades. If a grade column is blank or has a "?", then I have not entered grades for that assignment yet.
A "Z" instead of a grade indicates the assignment is late or missing probably due to an absence. It can be made up, but it will average into your grade as a zero until the new grade is entered.
A "NG" indicates you are exempt from the assignment; exemptions are rarely given.
A "0" zero indicates you have a missing assignments that cannot be made up.
If you have a question about your grade, please talk to me about it either before or after class or email me at [email protected]
Grading will be done on a point system. Major assignments such as tests, essays, and projects, as well as some quizzes, count as 60% of the grade. Minor assignments such as classwork and homework count as 40% of the grade. The 9-week average will be a percentage of the points.
